Born November 21, 1876 at Winnfield, Mrs. Barton was a member of First Baptist church of Gilbert.
She is survived by her husband, J. E. Barton, Gilbert; four sons, Morgan Barton, Baton Rouge, Elmer Barton, Winnsboro, and Johnnie and Thomas Barton, both of Gilbert; two daughters, Mrs. Warren Flowers and Mrs. Harvey McLaughlin, both of Gilbert; 15 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; two brothers, R. S. Collins, Gilbert, and W. T. Collins, Winnfield.
Pallbearers were grandsons, Cecil Flowers, Lynn Barton, Billie Barton, Phillip Barton, Leroy Barton and Gary Don Barton.
Funeral services took place at 10 a.m. March 12 at First Baptist church of Gilbert. The Revs. J. T. Halley, Wilburn Hoglen and Joe Mongle officiated. Interment was in Brown cemetery south of Winnfield.
