MRS. MARION HODGDON
WINDHAM - Marion Sturgis Hodgdon, 85, died Monday at her home after a long illness. She was born here, Oct. 18, 1889, teh daughter of George B. and Mary E. Sturgis Hanson. She lived here most of her life and was a graduate of Winham High School, class of 1908. Mrs. Hodgdon taught school for 42 years, retiring in 1960. She was a substitute teacher here until a few years ago. She taught schools here, in St. Johnsbury, Vt., Amesbury, Mass., Winthrop, Mass. and Portland. She was a member of teh National Honor Society. In 1967, the Windham Kiwanis Club honoroed her with a senior citizen award. She also was a member of teh Cross Roads Gardne Club and the Helping Hand club. She was the widow of Howard Hodgdon, who died in 1947. She is survived by two sons, Sturgis of Cape Elizabeth and Kermit of Windham; a daughter, Mrs. John (Janet) Harrison of Chevy Chase, MD.; 13 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nices and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at teh Dolby Funeral Chapel, South Windham with interment in Smith Cemetery.

HODGDON - In Windham, Aug. 18, Marion S. of Windham Center. Funeral Wedensday at 2:00 p.m. from the Dolby Funeral Chapel. Interment in Smith Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral chapel Tuesday 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, family would appreciate contribution to the Windham Public Library, Windham Center, Maine 04082.
