Dick Anderson, 85, passed away on August 21, 2009. He was born in Gopher, South Dakota in 1924, and grew up around Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. He served time with the US Navy then spent most of his working life in the shipyards of Westen Washington.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Barbara; and sister, Inez.
He is survived by his brothers, Ralph (Marylou), Andy (Rea), Dale (Sharon), and Wayne (Shirly); his seven children, Mickey (Rick), Sandy, Sam, Marcy, Jeff, Janice and Nita; his nine grandchildren, Jacob, Bobby, TJ, Riley, Melissa, Andrew, Trenton, Shadoe and Drummer; and his great-grandson, Connor. He also leaves many friends and neighbors who helped care for and love him in his last and final days.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, August 27, at Purdy and Walters at Floral Hills, Lynnwood, WA.
