Janice I. Hamann, 77, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away Monday, June 6, 2011 at Charlotte Regional Medical Center in Punta Gorda, FL.
Janice was born March 23, 1934 in Kenosha, Wisconsin and moved to Port Charlotte 18 years ago from Las Vegas, NV.

Janice was a wonderful woman who loved her family, friends and GOD. She always lit up a room the moment she enters with her smile and traits. She will be sadly missed and may GOD rest her soul.

She is survived by her loving husband of 57 1/2 years, Donald F. Hamann, Sr; 4 daughters, Cindy Robins of Port Charlotte, Theresa Kent of Vancouver, WA, Janet Anderson of Three Rivers, CA and Lisa Soltis of Kansasville, WI; a son, Donald F. Hamann, Jr. of Coconut Creek, FL; 2 sisters, Ann Berndt of Wisconsin and Edie Carpentier of Illinois; 3 brothers, Gene Hart of Texas, Harold Hart of Wisconsin and Michael Hart of California; 16 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Marjorie Di Chaira, a brother, Kenneth Hart and a granddaughter, Nicky Robins.

A private inurnment will be held at a later date by the family.

Arrangements are by Roberson Funeral Home & Crematory Port Charlotte Chapel.
