"Mrs Simon Augustine - Mrs Barbara Augustine, 82, of Spartansburg, RD 1, who had 76 direct descendants, died at Corry Memorial Hospital yesterday morning after a brief illness. She was born July 3, 1880, a daughter of Chris and Magdalena Wittrig Roth. In her youth she joined the Mennonite Church of which she was a faithful member until her death. On May 30, 1900, she married Simon Augustine who survives. Besides her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Mrs William Stoltzfus of Corry, RD 1; Mrs John Saltzman of Shickley, Neb; Mrs Joseph Troyer of Spartansburg, RD 1; one son, John Augustine of Spartansburg, RD 3; 21 grandchildren and 48 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs Samuel Stauffer of Tofield, Canada, Mrs Erin Eichelberger of Filer, Idaho. Friends may call...at the H Richard Hays Funeral Home in Spartansburg and attend the funeral service there at 1 pm Saturday with Rev Daniel John, pastor of the Britton Run Mennonite Church, officiating. Interment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Spartansburg."
