Charles Carmi Hinshaw died on November 15, 1921 at his home in Mackinaw, Illinois.

He was born on May 16, 1849 at Danvers, Illinois a son of Charles and Susan Mary Haybarger Hinshaw.

He married Miss Mary Elizabeth Smith on February 26, 1874.
To this union four children were born, three daughters; Oda Mae Hinshaw, Anna C. Hinshaw and Ida C. Hinshaw; and one son George Jacob Hinshaw.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his daughter Ida who died in infancy on June 26, 1887.

He is survived by his wife and three children as follows: Oda of Mackinaw, Illinois. George Jacob Hinshaw of Pleasanton, Kansas; and Mrs. Eugene Harris of Bloomington, Illinois.

He was a faithful member of the Presbyterian Church having become such early in life.

He was a man of fine character much given to charitable work.
