Reno Borgognoni, 86, a retired farmer, died June 19, 2013 at his home. Visitation is Friday June 21, 2013, 5-7 P.M. at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Clarksdale, MS with Prayer Service at 7 P.M. Funeral services are 10 A.M. Saturday June 22, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Clarksdale, MS. with burial in the Oakridge Cemetery. Meredith-Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale, MS. is handling the arrangements.
Mr. Borgognoni was a graduate of Friars Point High School. He was in the United States Army, where he served in WWII. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus 4th Degree, the American Legion and VFW. He was a member and former usher of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church.
Survivors include: wife of 62 1/2 years Lillian Sbravati Borgognoni of Clarksdale, MS.; 2 sons, Reno Mark Borgognoni (Donna) of Lawrenceville, GA. and Jerry Alan Borgognoni (Jamie) of Cleveland, MS.; 3 daughters, Deborah B. Barfield (Danny) of Cleveland, MS.; Brenda B. Robinson (Mike) of Clarksdale, MS. and Cynthia (Cindy) B. Cocilova (Doug) of Shaw, MS.; brother Paul D. Borgognoni,; 2 sisters, Rosa B. Bates and Dora B. Curcio all of Clarksdale, MS.; 11 Grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by parents Roger and Maria Ciuccoli Borgognoni.
