Daughter of Freda Bergstrom and Albert Gutekunst. She served in the US Navy and taught in the Dallas Independent School District. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Jim Brashears and Gene Tryon, a son, Bruce Brashears, a sister Sylvia Isansee, and a grandson, Jacob Jordan. She is survived by two daughters, two stepdaughters, one brother, six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Obit in the Northwest Arkansas Times and the Arkansas Democrat Gazette on July 5, 2005.
