Ezra Kyle Nipper, 72, of
Richlands, was found dead
at his home Wednesday, Jan.
21, Tazewell County officials
and County Coroner Dr. E. L.
Kirby said he died from ex-
posure Tuesday night. Dr.
Kirby said there was no heat
in the house.
Born in Russell County, he
was a son of the late James
M. and Ella Mae Billips Nipper.
He had made his home in the
Brickyard section of Richlands
for the past 67 years. He was
a veteran of World War I, having
served in the Army and the Navy.
He was a retired employee of
General Shale Corp. of Richlands
and a member of the Methodist
Church.
He is survived by three sisters,
Mrs. Mattie B. Day of Columbus,
Ohio, Mrs. Mozelle Shreve of Marion,
and Miss Kansas E. Nipper of Cedar
Bluff.
Funeral services were conducted
Saturday at Hurst-Scott Funeral
Chapel in Richlands with Rev.
James B. Hollenhead officiating.
Burial followed in Hankins Ceme-
tery in Richlands.
Pallbearers: Harry Shreve, Glenn
Shreve, Harry Shreve, Jr., Warren
Blankenship, Walter Cordle, and
Gilmer Cox.
