Odeal Bethea
GREENVILLE — Odeal Farris Bethea, 76, of Greenville, surrounded by her family, passed peacefully away on April 4, 2012.
Born March 14, 1936, at Vansickle, she was the daughter of Lenton Carson "Sam" Farris and Erma Idora Hughes Farris.
She retired from Leco Electric after 26 years of service. She had also been employed by Temco, The Flour Mill, Webster Drug Store, Perkins Brothers and Brokaw Tool during her working career.
Surviving are her husband, Barney Bethea; brother Dinsel Farris and wife Doris; nieces and their husbands, Yvette Bearding Hudson and Doyle, Sharon Ray and Allan, and Denise Kafka and Don; two nephews and their wives, James Paul Brock and Donna and Lindel Farris and Odalys; great-nephews Taylor Hudson, Christopher and David Farris, and Patrick and Josh Brock; great-nieces Casi Kafka, Katie Brock Carter, and Whitney and Stacey Ray; and several great-great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters Thelma Dickson and Vernita Bearding.
