Youngest child of Wm Henry and Alice (Jenkins) Kirtley of Walton and Cheney, NE. In his youth he played the trumpet in Babedges Boys Marching Band and enjoyed singing. Married Ellanora C Ullsperger and was part owner of Kirtley Lumber in Sterling, NE in 1940's. Moved to Lincoln, NE and sold advertising. Mr. Kirtley was quit talented with any home repair and building. In 1971 he donated a kidney to their only child which was considered experimental. He was quit the reader, thinker, inventor and philosopher. He enjoyed socializing, woodworking and taking his grandson fishing.
