David M Black, who states DOB as 14 March 1825 has a CSA pension application on line in the Georgia Archives virtual vault under Hall County. He enlisted in Company A of the 2nd Ga State Line- Militia. On June 22, 1864, he was wounded in his right leg just below the knee at the Battle of Kennesaw Mountain, GA. He first received a yearly pension and then applied for the allotted $75 for an artificial limb.
