Demas Victor Letherman, 80, a retired farmer, died at his home, at Scenery Hill Tuesday morning at 3 o'clock, October 31, 1939, after a brief illness of pneumonia.
Mr. Letherman was a son of Demas and Jane Munce Letherman and was born March 29, 1859, in North Bethlehem Township, where he spent his entire life. He was the last of a family of eight brothers and sisters. On February 6, 1896, he married Arabella Tombaugh, who died July 4 of this year. Mr. Letherman was a member of Davidson Methodist church at Glyde.
Survivmg are one nephew, D. Mac Letherman, of Charleroi, and the following nieces: Mrs. Edith Hicks, of Hilsboro, O., Mrs. Anna Sampson, of Dunns Station, and Mrs. Ora Carson, of Charleroi.
Burial will be in Pigeon Creek Dunkard cemetery.
