Mrs. Rebecca Depew died of heart trouble at Stone Fort last week while visiting her daughter, Mrs. Alex Parker. Mrs. Depew has been residing in Mound City for the past few years, but formerly lived on her farm two miles east of Villa Ridge, where she had resided for 40 years. She was a member of the Congregational Church and of the W. C. T. U., was a true Christian, possessing more than ordinary intelligence and working with active interest for the advancement of every good cause. She will be long remembered by her many friends for her loving words and kind deeds. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Burton, of Villa Ridge, on Monday. Interment at Villa Ridge. The relatives have the sympathy of the entire community.
