Captain John M. Moran of the Chicago Fire Department died June 30, 1931. He was the son of Michael J. and Ellen Pergel Moran. Survivors include his wife, Ellen Murphy Moran; daughter, Nellie Moran; son, Officer Hugh Joseph Moran of the Chicago Police Department; and son, John F. Moran of the Chicago Fire Department. He was a member of Mutual Aid and Benevolent Association and Holy Name Society. Funeral services will be held from the late residence to St. Matthew's Church. Burial in Mount Carmel Cemetery in Hillside, Illinois.
