Mrs. Annie C. Priester, 85, lifelong resident of Scott county, died at 7:30 a.m. today at the home of her son and daughter-in-law. Mr. and Mrs. Walter C. Priester, 1804 Ripley street, following a lingering illness.

Born April 9, 1861, near Mt. Joy, Mrs. Priester, the former Annie Wiese, was married to Henry Priester in 1879, at Mt. Joy. After their marriage the couple moved to a farm near there, later to a farm at Walnut, Ia., and in 1893 came to Davenport. Mrs. Priester was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers and a sister.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Frank Jungjohann, Cedar Rapids, and Mrs. Fred Johanssen, Lebon, Ore.; her son; one sister, Mrs. Meta Ploehn, Bettendorf; two brothers, Henry Wiese, Eldridge, and Emil Wiese, Luverne, Minn.; 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

The body was removed to Hill & Fredericks funeral home.
