Funeral services for Mrs Effie Smith Cofty, 63, of Kirbyville will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday in Causey's E E Stringer Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Davis Cemetery at Fawil.
Mrs Cofty died at 11:30 PM Saturday, September 1, 1973 in a Jasper hospital. She was a lifelong resident the Call and Kirbyville area.
Survivors include her husband, Dewey Cofty; a daughter, Mrs Wanda Lou Brown of Kirbyville; three sons, John Cofty of Jasper, Donald Cofty of Kirbyville and Thomas Cofty of Detroit, Michigan; three stepsons, Vernon Cofty of Bon Wier, Dewey Cofty of Monroe, Michigan and Samuel Cofty of Kirbyville; a sister, Mrs Vivian Droddy of Buna and three brothers, Cecil Smith, Lester and J B Smith of Kirbyville.
