Charles Junior Schnell, age 92, Porterfield, WI, passed away at home surrounded by the love of his family on Monday, October 25, 2021. He was born on October 22, 1929, in Greenleaf, Wis., the son of Walter and Sadie (Bastian) Schnell.

Charlie married the love of his life, Dorothy Ducaine, on January 5, 1952.
Together they raised seven children on the family farm where he made a living until his retirement.
He loved camping and spending time with his big family. He would pass the time watching wildlife and would often tell stories of all the animals he saw. In his younger years he enjoyed traveling and going to car shows.

Charlie is survived by his wife Dorothy;
his children: Kathy Gilligan (Randy LaPlant), Don (Julie) Schnell, Rich (Dawn) Schnell, Judy (Tim) McGavock, Debra (Patrick) Doubek, Laurie Schnell (and Cory) and Lisa (Scott) Tebo;
his siblings: Merlin Schnell and Lorraine Marcek;
and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Charlie was greeted in heaven by his parents; sister Vera Bastian; son-in-law Thomas Gilligan; and great-granddaughter baby Perri Schnell.

Family will receive relatives and friends Saturday, October 30, 2021, at Berth & Rosenthal Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. until time of services at 5:00 p.m.
