E. C. McSwain, 87, of Houston, formerly of Shelby County, passed away Monday, June 24, 2013 in Woodville. He was born June 26, 1925 in the Choice Community of Shelby County to Leo McSwain and Ada Anthony McSwain. Mr. McSwain joined the United States Merchant Marines and went on to serve in the Marine Corps during World War II. He later became a master plumber, owning and operating Cashmere Plumbing Company in Houston for over 25 years.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, June 28, 2013 at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 29, 2013 at Watson & Sons Chapel. A Military Honors graveside will follow at Mt. Herman Cemetery in Center.
