BURLEY F. ABERNATHY, 73, of Harlingen, Texas, formerly of Memphis, retired machinist, died of heart failure Sunday in Harlingen. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Forest Hill Funeral Home East with burial in Forest Hill Cemetery East.
He was a member of Pine Hill Baptist Church in Ripley, Miss.
Mr. Abernathy leaves two daughters, Nancy Bullard of Philadelphia, Miss., and Johnnie Kay Sutler of Rosenberg, Texas; two sons, Keith West of Harlingen and Joel Wayne Hiser; a sister, Ruby Green of Memphis, and six grandchildren.
