Mrs. Bernice Stubbs, age 99, of Crockett, passed away Sunday, June 23, 2013 in the Whitehall Nursing Center in Crockett. She was born February 5, 1914 in Porter Springs and had lived all of her lifetime in the area. Mrs. Stubbs was a housewife and a member of the Ash Church of Christ.
Survivors include brother, Floyd Brewton and wife, Marvis of Crockett; sister-in-law, Odessa Brewton of Crockett; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and other relatives. Preceded in death by husband of 55 years, Dick Stubbs; brothers and sisters, Waymon Brewton, Wilma Cook, Mary Oliver, Sybil Reynolds, J. T. Brewton and Oneal Brewton.
Funeral services for Mrs. Bernice Stubbs will be held Friday, June 28, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel with Mr. Rick Kelley officiating.
