Dolores Seuferer passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2012.

Dolores was born on January 31, 1917 in Keokuk, Iowa, one of five children to Peter and Veronica Hatton. She lived most of her teen years on a farm in Montrose, IA. She attended St. Mary's Grade School and St. Peter's High School in Keokuk, Iowa where she graduated in 1934.

After graduation she worked three years in the State Treasurer's Office in Des Moines, IA, then was employed in 1939 for the Federal Housing Administration now the HUD in Des Moines.

In 1941, she married Gwendle H. Randleman. After his return from 30 months of WW II duties in Persia in 1945, they moved to Clear Lake, IA where they owned and operated Randy's Café until his death in 1954. In 1954 Dolores returned to work for HUD in Des Moines.

Later she married Frank Steffens for a short period and he preceded her in death. She retired as Administrative Officer from HUD in 1979 after 30 years of service.

In 1982, she was united in marriage to Stanley Seuferer, who preceded her in death.

Dolores was a lifetime member of the Catholic Women's League of the Bishop Drumm Guild of Des Moines, where she was an active volunteer for over 20 years at the Bishop Drumm Care Center. She was also a member of the Lincoln Lutheran Auxiliary in Racine.

Dolores is survived by her sons, Robert (Carol) Randleman of Racine, WI and Dennis C Steffens of Mokena, Il; one sister, Patricia Dahleen of Phoenix, AZ; five grandchildren, Randy (Katia) Randleman, Los Altos, CA; Joel (Charmaine) Randleman, Dubai UAE; Lauren Steffens, Hoffman Estates, IL; Sidney and David Steffens, Mokena, IL and four great-grandchildren.

Her son, Gary Randleman, preceded Dolores in death.

A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Rita Catholic Church, 4339 Douglas Avenue, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 18, 2012, with Rev. Kevin Mullins O.S.A. officiating.

Memorial donations may be sent to St. Rita's Church, Racine, WI.
