Dr. Spaulding Dies Monday
Dr. Ida B Spaulding 88, 1835 Ohio Ave died at 7:15pm Monday at St. John's Hospital after an illness of several weeks. Dr. Spaulding was a chiropractor.
She was born and reared north of Chesterfield, a daughter of Samuel and Rena J Rinker. Dr. Spauling was a member of the Daleville Methodist Church and was a aresident of the Anderson area all her life.
Dr. Spaulding was the foster mother of 24 children. The youngest, Keith Miller, is now stationed at Camp Pendleton, Calif., with the U.S. Marines.
Surviving are two brothers, John A Rinker, Anderson and James E Rinker, Lucerne, Calif; five sisters; Mrs Mina Faucett, Muncie, Mrs Ada E Notting, Muncie, Rena I Rinker Anderson, Mrs Margaret M Arnold and Mrs Lettie J Miller, of Middletown; 18 nephews, 9 nieces and several great nieces and nephews.
The body was taken to the Harold E Rozelle Funeral Home where friends may call after 1 am. Wednesday. Services will be conducted at the funeral home at 2pm Thursday by the Rev. Levi O Lutton, pastor of the Peoples Church. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, north of Daleville.
