Eleanor Bennett went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 13, 2011. She was 94 years old. Eleanor was born June 26, 1917 the eldest of 10 children, born to Lloyd and Florence Peterson in Edmunds, North Dakota.
She spent most of her younger years assisting her mother with raising her sisters and brothers.
Eleanor was a dedicated and loving wife to Ray S. Bennett for over 60 years. Eleanor and Ray met in North Dakota and later spent some time in Nampa, ID.
In the 1940's they moved to a small farm in the Swan's Trail area of Snohomish where they raised their three boys, Farrell Bennett, Daren Bennett, and Leon Bennett. In 1958 they moved to south Everett. Eleanor lived in that same house until 2010. Eleanor provided childcare for a number of friends and family members over the years. Eleanor spent most of her lifetime as an excellent homemaker. Eleanor loved gardening, cooking and sewing. In her later years she also enjoyed watching Seattle Mariners baseball.
Eleanor is preceded in death by her husband, Ray S. Bennett; and son, Farrell Bennett; granddaughter, Tammy Bennett; and siblings, Lois, Doris, Isabelle, Edna, Raymond, Harlan and Dale.
