Leslie B. Dittus, 84, who resided on Ohio Route 274, Rushsylvania, died Sunday at 8:10 a.m. in Hardin Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient for two days. A retired farmer, Mr. Dittus was born in Huron County, July 23 1896, the son of Fred and Elfra Gibson Dittus. He had resided in the Rushsylvania area since 1948 and was a member of the Big Springs United Methodist Church. He was a World War I veteran and was associated with the American Legion Post 198 of Kenton. His wife, the former Bonnie Dailey, to whom he was married on Jan. 19, 1929, survives along with a daughter, Mrs. W.Paul (Helen) Brown of New Concord; four grandchildren; a great-grandson; a sister, Mrs. Lena Belle Baldwin of Bellefontaine; and four nieces.
Hilty Funeral home in Belle Center is directing the arrangement and services will be conducted there Wednesday at 1 p.m. the Rev. Rovert Underwood of the Big Springs church. Burial will be in Belle Center's Fairview Cemetery.
