Mrs. Dorothea Dittus Answers Final Summons At Late Home
Was Native of Germany; Funeral Services To Be Thursday
After three weeks illness with complications, Mrs. Dorothea Dittus of Lynn township passed away at her home early this morning. The deceased was born in Wurtenberg, Germany, August 29, 1837, and died at the age of 85 years, 5 months and 28 days. At the age of 12 years she came to America with her parents. In 1868 she moved to a farm in Lynn township where she spent the remainder of her life. Surviving are two daughters, Miss Eleanor Dittus of Wala Wala Washington, and Miss Mary Dittus of Denver Colorado, four sons, Jerry Dittus of Union county, William Dittus at home, and Fred and Ferd Dittus both of Lynn township, three brothers, William Ruhlen of this city, Colonel George Ruhlen, Tacoma, Washington, and Fred Ruhlen of Baldwin Kansas, five grand children and two great grand children. She was a member of the St. John's church. Funeral services will be held from the home in Lynn township Thursday at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Kuenzler in charge. Burial will be made in Norman cemetery.
