Robert Emmet Riley, 76, of 644 N. Elizabeth St., an employee of the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad for 30 years, died at 10:15 p.m. Monday in St. Rita's Hospital where he had been a patient seven days. He was born June 15, 1889, in Lima and was a lifetime resident of this city. He served as a car inspector for the B & O Railroad until his retirement, six years ago due to ill health. He was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church, its Holy Name Society and the Baltimore & Ohio Veterans Association. He married Nina C. Ruhlen June 17, 1920 and she survives. Also surviving are two sons, John R., Bedford, Mass., and James A., Dayton; a sister, Mrs. Lee (Mary) Conley, Tulsa Okla., and nine grandchildren. Absolution Rites will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in St. Rose Catholic Church. Requiem High Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Monday in the church, the Rev. Marcellus T. Lambillottee, celebrant with burial in Gethsemani Cemetery.
