Robert A. Bozzelli, 67, of Upper Darby, a heavy equipment operator, died Nov. 13 at Lankenau Hospital, Lower Merion.
Born in Burlington, Vt., Mr. Bozzelli was the son of the late Pete R. Bozzelli and Lillian Trudeau Bozzelli. He was reared in Philadelphia and lived in Upper Darby for the last 15 years.
Mr. Bozzelli worked as a heavy equipment operator through Local 542 of the Internationl Union of Operating Engineers for many years.
He served with the U.S. Marine Corps in the Korean War.
A lifetime member of Millbourne Fire Co., Mr. Bozzelli held every office with the fire company except fire chief. He also belonged to Post 214, American Legion of Upper Darby, the Overbrook Italian-American Democratic Club of Philadelphia and St. Alice Roman Catholic Church.
Husband of the late Dorothy A. Doorey Bozzelli, who died in October 1990, he is survived by two sons, Robert A. Bozzelli II and Mark A. Bozzelli, both of Upper Darby; four sisters, Ida DiClemente of Upper Darby, Joyce Kretz and Cecile Weber, both of Philadelphia, and Shirley Archer of Florida; two brothers, Allen Bozzelli of Philadelphia and Pete Bozzelli of Nashville, Tenn.; and one grandson.
He also was the father of the late Gloria A. Bozzelli.
The funeral and calling period begin at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Richard L. Kelly Funeral Home, Long Lane and Walnut street, Upper Darby. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Catholic Church of St. Alice, Copley Road, Upper Darby. Burial is in SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Marple.
