Pauline Marie Canard McKinney was the daughter of Jeff and Simmer (Tiger) Canard. She married David James McKinney on Dec. 12, 1935 in Tulsa, OK. They raised two sons, David Jefferson "Sonny" McKinney and Roger Wayne "Bill" McKinney. She was a proud member of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation, the Wotko Clan and Tukvpvtce Tribal Town, as well as Thlopthlocco United Methodist Church. She was very active in the United Methodist Women and loved going to church with her family as often as possible. Pauline passed peacefully at her childhood home in Wetumka at age 96. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Rachel and Eloise; brothers, James, Robert, Virgil and Rufus; her husband in 1998; and her oldest son, Sonny, in 2008. At the time of her death, she was survived by her younger son, Bill; 5 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
