Daniel Joseph Allen III was born November 17, 1960 to Daniel J. Allen Jr. and Jean Marie Huhlein Allen and returned to his Heavenly Father June 21, 2013. Mr. Allen was a Catholic by faith, an U.S. Navy veteran serving during Desert Storm on the USS Samuel Gompers supply ship in the pacific fleet. He was an employee for UPS supply chain solutions at their Brooks Kentucky Facility. Among those who preceded him in death include his father. He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Tina Jones Allen; daughters, Alisha and Cassie Allen; mother, Jean Marie Schott (Clifford); sisters, Deborah Cobb (William), Joan Vogel (Charles) and Janet McCrary (Hobert); brother, Wayne Allen (Lori); a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Funeral service will be held 7:30 P.M. Wednesday at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with interment in Kentucky Veterans Central with military honors 10 A. M. Thursday. Friends may pay their respects from 12 P.M. until 7:30 P.M. Wednesday at Schoppenhorst.
The funeral services for Dan were conducted by Father Johnny Johnston and Deacon Jim Olrich of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.
