Frank Harkness

Funeral services for Frank T. Harkness, 62, who died Saturday in Minden Sanitarium following a lengthy illness, were at 10 a.m. today in the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Kirkpatrick and the Rev. Ralph Weedon officiating. Burial was in Arlington Cemetery in Homer under the direction of Green-Kleinegger Funeral Home.
Mr. Harkness was a native of Minden, a lifelong member of the Baptist church, a member of the Masonic Lodge and an automobile dealer in Homer for 25 years.
Survivors are his widow of Minden; one son, Frank Thomas Harkness, Jr. of Dallas, Tex.; one daughter, Mrs. Lawson A. Wilder of Homer; five brothers, Letcher Harkness of Baton Rouge, Laurie M. Harkness of Monroe, James Harkness and David Harkness, both of Houston, Tex., Louis Harkness of Shreveport; one sister, Mrs. Dewitt Pyburn of Baton Rouge, and six grandchildren.
