She was born May 28, 1947, in Chicago, to Patrick J. and Eleanor L. (Zujewski) Brosnan.
She graduated from Alverina High School in 1965 and became employed with the Social Security Administration, where she remained for 39 years, retiring in 2005. She had made her home in Chicago and later Glenview, and in 2008 she moved to Huntley. She enjoyed doing pottery and ceramics, especially enjoyed animals, and had in the past volunteered at various animal shelters. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Huntley.
She enjoyed the companionship of her dogs, Buttons and Mindy.
She is survived by her son, Scott Patrick Brosnan of Wheeling; her sister, Judith J. Brosnan of Huntley; her brothers, Daniel (Eileen) Brosnan of Glen Ellen and Daryl S. (Mary Jo) Brosnan of St. Petersburg, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
