Frances Sceales was the daughter of a California father, Ralph Emerson Hobson (1882 – 1945) and Iowa mother, Anna Hedvig Carlson (1882 – 1963). Frances wed Dallas Sceales December 18, 1929 in Bakersfield, California. From the union came a daughter and two sons. The family remained in the Bakersfield area until at least 1955.
Since then, they have become an active family in Alexander Valley, California viniculture, and their son becoming the first President of the Beeson Cemetery Association.
