Funeral services for Mrs. Josephine Edgerton Underhill, widow of Stephen Underhill and formerly of Elba, will be held at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon at the H.E. Turner & Co. Mortuary. The Rev. George A. Cole, pastor of the Prospect Ave. Baptist Church in Buffalo, of which Mrs Underhill was a member will officiate assisted by the Rev. W.C. Muck, Jr. of the Elba Baptist Church. Interment will be in Maple Lawn Cemetery, Elba. Friends may call at the mortuary.
Mrs. Underhill died Friday June 20, 1947, at the Highland Hospital, Rochester. She became ill while vising relatives in Rochester. She was born at Elba, the daughter of Rodney and Elizabeth Edgerton.
Surviving are two brothers, G.Raymond Edgerton of Mansfield, PA, and M.Everett Edgerton of Buffalo; a sister, Mrs. Una F.Chick of Kelseyville, Calif., and several nieces and nephews. She was a sister of the late Mrs. Eugenia Fowles of Batavia and Walter H. Edgerton of Elba.
