Nida Swain Reynolds, 94, of Chester, Utah passed away June 15, 2013. She was born on September 16, 1918 to Arthur C. Swain and Nancy Elizabeth McDonald Swain in Daniel, Wasatch County, Utah. She was the 4th of 7 children. She married Isaac Elmo Reynolds on February 5, 1936, Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS temple on February 15, 1964. Nida was preceded in death by her husband Elmo, her parents, all her siblings, 2 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.
She will be remembered for her kindness and many talents. She enjoyed sewing, genealogy, needlework, and flowers. She was an excellent cook and especially loved desserts. She was a kind, sweet, gentle, loving person, with a great sense of humor. Her greatest joy came from the love she had for her husband and her family.
She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, serving in several positions including Primary President and supporting her husband as Bishop of the Chester Ward.
She is survived by all of her children: Shirley (Roger) Burnside of Sandy, Utah, Boyd (Kathleen) Reynolds of Murray, Utah, Karen (Charlie) Robinson of Kanab, Utah, Laraine (Gene) Jacobson of Fountain Green, Utah, and Annette (Randy) Mallory of Orem, Utah, 28 grandchildren, 65 great-grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at 12:00 noon in the Sanpitch LDS Ward Chapel, 92 S. 200 W. in Wales, Utah, with the viewing prior to the services from 10:00 - 11:30 am.
