Abraham Lambert Gardner, named for his maternal grandfather, Abraham Lambert, was the first child of Esther Lambert Gardner, who married her husband, George Gardner, in Fort Gunnison, where he moved after the deaths of his first two wives in Springville, Utah.
Abraham only lived a little over a month and died on March 13, 1863. According to George Grant Gardner's history of his grandfather, George Gardner, the child died before the family's move from Fort Gunnison to Fayette, Utah.
