BESSIE B. JACKINS
Mrs. Bessie B. Jackins, 88, died Wednesday morning at a Waterville hospital following a brief illness. Mrs. Jackins was born in New Limerick, Aug. 12, 1884, daughter of John C. and Ada U. James Bradbury. She was married June 26, 1907, to Alden Jackins and they made their home in Houlton for several years. She had made her home in Waterville since 1922. She was a Pastt Noble Lady of the United Order of Independent Odd Ladies, Fort Halifax Chapter, of Waterville, and a member of the Lydia Club. She attended the First Baptist Church. Her husband died in 1952 in Waterville. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Wolfgang E. (Myrtle) Weigelt and Miss Marion B. Jackins, both of Waterville; four grandchildren, Mrs. Stephen (Dorothy) Vrabic of Allentown, Pa., Master Sergeant David R. Jackins of Aurora, Colo., Robert W. Weigelt of Mount Holly, Vt., and Alden L. Weigelt of Waterville; seven great-grandchidlren and two nieces. Funeral services will be held at the Redington Funeral Home Saturday at 2 p.m. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
