Charles D. Bixler, 82, former resident of the Cato-Drywood area, died January 1, 1978 at Canon City, Colorado. He was born Jan 18, 1895, at Drywood, Kansas, the son of Rev. Charles Bixler and Sarah Ann Rourk Bixler. Surviving are his wife, the former Osie Kreiger, one son, Delbert Bixler of Denver; and one daughter, Ruth Erickson of Wichita; two sisters: Katie Rethford and Verna Harvey of Canon City and four grandchildren. Services and burial were at Canon City.
