Services are pending at Turner funeral home in Yukon for Claude V. "Frosty" Whelan, 44, former Oklahoman who died at his home in Los Angeles Friday night.
Whelan had been in poor health several years since suffering a severe polio attack, but his death was unexpected.
He was born at Piedmont, April 3, 1914 and later lived in Yukon. He was the son of the late James A. Whelan, retired postmaster of Yukon, and Mrs. Whelan, who still lives in Yukon. Whelan had lived in Los Angeles 24 years.
Survivors, in addition to his mother, are two brothers, J. L. Whelan, Lawton; two sisters, Mrs. S.P. Stormont, Tulsa, and Mrs. E.A. Glover, Midwest City.
