Unice "Nicey" Haddock was a daughter of Zachariah Haddock and Chloe (Cloey) Albritton. She married Milo Butler Russell on 14 Aug 1841. Stories are posted on ancestry.com telling of how she would ride a broken in calf to the cave where Milo, her husband and his brother would hold out to avoid "Bushwhackers" who sought out sympathizers to the confederates. The calves foot prints were thought to not cause suspicion and lead to discovering Milo and the cave he sought refuge in. Children that are known per census records are:
