Daughter, sister, mother, tia, wife, nana, niece, cousin, friend, teacher, reader, fanatic (Go Jazz!), camper, crafter, supporter of the defenseless, reminder, cuddler of babies, sunflower admirer, beach comber, daffodil devotee, collector, traveler, saver, bargain hunter, technophobe, multi-tasker, fisher, forgiver, gifter, believer, worrier, sponsor, advocate, dreamer, gardener, task-master, patient and persistent front-line warrior in her personal seven year long battle against cancer has died.
Born in L.A., but Utahn at heart, she graduated from Kearns High in 1970 and Cum Laude from the University of Utah in 1974 (Go Utes!). She taught mostly 1st and 2nd grade for over 33 years at Webster, Copper Hills and Hillside elementary schools. She was the happiest when she was with her family and with children. Preceded in death by many beloved aunts, uncles and cousins, her beloved father Albert last December, brother Daniel 20 days ago and granddaughter Angelita 10 years ago.
She is survived by her mother Susan, twin sister Linda, brother Albert, husband Dave, children Jason, Christina, Daniel, Michael, 12 grandchildren (D,A,K,R,L,K,L,E,C,M,S,A), an amazing extended family and uncounted friends.
Thanks to the Doctors, Nurses, Aides, Staff and Volunteers at the Huntsman Cancer Institute, Intermountain Home Health Care, The Cancer Wellness House and Vistacare Hospice.
Viewing, Rosary and Eulogies at St. Francis-Xavier Catholic Church, 4501 W. 5215 South, Kearns, Utah, Monday May 27th from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral Mass at St. Francis-Xavier, Tuesday May 28th at 1:30 followed by burial at Valley View Cemetery.
