Ted was born on February 7th, 1932 in Fort Dodge, Iowa. The son of George Raymond Ackley Jr. and Anna Catherine Schmidt Ackley. Ted had two sisters, Dianna Rae Ackley Busby, and Donnavie-Dayle Louise Ackley Nelson, and a brother, Edward Ackley.

Ted married Sharon, and they had four children. Three daughters, Marcia, Jackie and Sheri, and a son, Alan. Ted and Sharon divorced in the early 60's. Ted married Marina Lizarazu in 1967. They had no children together.

Ted worked at several places but he worked at Echo Products in Whittier, California in the 60's.
Ted also bowled in several leagues and bowled for several years on those leagues.

Ted passed away while living in Apple Valley, California leaving his wife, Marina and children behind.

Ted was a very dear friend of my fathers. They worked together at Echo Products (and Worley). They had the best times bowling together on leagues. I recall that they would bowl three times a week on different leagues. They were both excellent bowlers and either could have gone pro.

Ted was a good guy and I have the best memories of those times.

Rest in peace Ted. You are missed...
