Leithel married 03 June 1923, Cannon Co., TN to Lena Maybelle ODOM, daughter of Fred Grey Odom and Zella VANCE.

Leithel and Lena had five known children, including triplets:
1- Carl Gray STACEY
2- Infant STACEY (triplet said died at birth)
3- James Earl STACEY (triplet)
4- Janie Pearl STACEY (triplet)(1927-2014)
5- Wilma Jean STACEY (1930-2006)
