Raymond E. Walls, 57, 2105 Eaton Ave., became ill at Durham Manufacturing Co. Friday afternoon and died en route to Ball Hospital. Born in Newton, Ill., he came to Muncie in 1941. He was a World War II veteran and was a member of South Side Christian Church and Delaware County Workers for the Blind.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby M.; a daughter, Christina, and a son, James Robert, at home; two sisters, Mrs. Catherine Sutton, Indianapolis, and Mrs. Thelma Parsons, Sullivan; four brothers, Eugene and Kenneth, Muncie, James, Australia, and Richard, Sarasota, Fla.
Friends may call at Parson Mortuary 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. Services will be there at 1 p.m. Monday with James Day officiating. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory.
