Norma Arlene Carlson, 76, of Barnum and formerly of Duluth, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2005, in Mercy Hospital in Moose Lake.
She was born in Eveleth on Feb. 11, 1929, to George and Anna (Johnson) Koski. She graduated from Eveleth High School in 1946. She married Raymond J. Carlson in Eveleth in 1953. Norma loved to crochet, do crossword puzzles, read and spend time with her children and grandchildren. She was a former member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Duluth.
Surviving are her children, Wendy (Bruce) Peterson of Duluth, Lynette (Mark) Running of Brooklyn Park, Bruce (Laurie) Carlson of Duluth and Marilyn (Jim) Barbo of Carlton; a brother, Melvin (June) Koski of Sun Prairie, Wis.; grandchildren, Krista (Mike) Volstad, Bridgett (Mike) Olson, Carl (Jenny) Anderson, Alan Carlson, Bob and Amelia Peterson, Joseph and Matthew Carlson, and Mike and Kayla Blom; great grandchildren, Marissa, Haley and Jordan Volstad, Isabelle Olson and Isabelle Anderson; nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond; her son, John; and her granddaughter, Jessica Peterson.
