Rose Reich, 88, Great Falls, MT, formerly of Medina, ND went to be with the Lord, Friday December 15, 2006 at Great Falls, MT.

Rose Suko was born March 22, 1918 in Alexander Township, NE of Gackle, ND, the daughter of Reinholdt and Christina (Obenauer) Suko. She was educated in a rural school, Alexander School District #47. Rose was always proud that she completed 8 grades in 7 years.

Rose stayed home to help her parents until she was 18 years old. Than along with her siblings, Louise and Martin, they journeyed to Portland, OR. While in Portland, Rose attended the Artistic Beauty Institute. Also while in Portland she corresponded with Emil Reich, who was in the US Army, and stationed in the SW Pacific.

Emil returned in the fall of 1945 and they were married on December 7, 1945 in Jamestown, ND. Rose's dear brother Martin and his wife Helen were their attendants. A winter storm brewed and the four of them spent the night sharing a hotel room. Rose and Emil farmed and raised their 6 children SE of Medina. Emil passed away on March 28, 1969. Rose then moved with her children into Medina. She was employed at various places in Jamestown. Because of declining health, Rose moved to Hazen in the fall of 2001 to be near her children, Ron and LuAnn. Her health declined farther and Rose moved to Great Falls, MT in November of 2004 where she was honored and lovingly cared for by her daughter Alice and Jonathan Martin, and granddaughters, Nicole, Ursula and Amanda. Rose joined her heavenly father in the presence of her daughter and son-in-law, Alice and Jonathan.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Medina, and the American Legion Auxilary.

Rose is survived by 6 children, Delores (Dennis) Lowderback, Rochester, IN, Alice (Jonathan) Martin, Great Falls, MT, Irene (Timothy) Martin, Kalispell, MT, Alvin (Becky) Reich, Medina, ND, Ron (LuAnn) Reich, Hazen, ND, David (Ann) Reich, Bismarck, ND, 16 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren, 2 brothers, Martin Suko and Edwin Suko, both of Jamestown, ND, 2 sisters, Dorothy Grenz, Jamestown, ND, and Ruth Gomke, Cleveland, ND.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Emil, 1 grandson Wade Bryant, 2 great grandchildren, 2 brothers, Sam and Gotthilf, 4 sisters, Amelia, Bertha, Louise, and Minnie.

The funeral service will be at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday December 20, 2006 at the United Methodist Church in Medina, ND with Pastor Bryce Tahran, officiating.

The interment will be made in the Medina Cemetery at Medina, ND. Visitation – 9:00 – 9:00 Tuesday at the funeral home Prayer service - 7:30 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home
