Funeral services were held in this city at 9 a.m. Monday for Mrs. Frances A. Robinson, 85, who died Saturday, August 7, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Harry Hamby, in Jonesboro, Ark. She was a former resident of this county, having lived at Holland for perhaps forty years, during most of which time was a member of the Sacred Heart church in this city, where the funeral service was held. She was the grandmother of Harold Hamby of this city.
Mrs. Robinson, who was born at Clinton, Ky. February 28, 1863, is survived by one son, Bert, of Los Angeles, Calif. and three daughters--Mrs. Teresa A. Moss of Los Angeles, California, Mrs. W.E. Wiseman of Cape Girdardeau, Mo. and Mrs. Hamby at Jonesboro; also one sister, Mrs. Annie Toon of Cape Girardeau. Sixteen grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren also survive.
Pallbearers at the funeral were six of her grandsons, Harold Hamby, of this city, Joe Hamby of Blytheville, Ark., Billy Hamby of Leachville, Ark., Robert Patmor of Cape Girardeau, Mo., Jess Hamby of Tyler, Texas and Chas. Robinson of Etowah, Tenn. Burial was in Little Prairie cemetery in this city, with LaForge Undertaking in charge.
