MAJOR — Mrs. Roberta Major, 79, of 8707 Santa Fe drive, Overland park, died today at Reece hospital, Gardner, after an Illness of six weeks. Mrs. Major was the widow of Edward T. Major, a horse trainer at Lenexa, who died nine years ago. His brother was Elliott W. Major, a former governor of Missouri who died in 1949. Mrs. Major was born in Monroe County, Missouri, and came to Kansas 22 years ago. She leaves two daughters, Mrs. Richard N. Brown, 7245 Holmes, and Mrs. Harold I. Snowden, Fontana, Calif.; a son, True Major of the home; two stepdaughters, Mrs. C. K. Mathews, 6625 Willow, Prairie Village, and Mrs. R. C. Turner, White Plains, N. Y.; two sisters, Mrs. Percy Blount, Nacogdoches, Tex., and Mrs. Margaret Russell, Paris, Mo. and a brother, Ray Curtright, Paris, Mo.
