Robertson, Doris Ellen 94 July 11, 1917 in Corning, Adams County, Iowa to Beach Barker and Mary Alice Jennings. On April 27, 2012 Doris died peacefully in her sleep at age 94. She grew up in Iowa before moving to Oregon. She had a passion for education and received her B.A. in education and her M.A. in speech therapy. Throughout her career she worked as a teacher in Molalla and a speech therapist in Oregon City. She was a world traveler. She felt connected to her Irish heritage and made many trips to Ireland. She loved music and dancing, was involved in her church, and supported numerous charitable organizations. She is survived by her son, Harold (Barbara); sisters, Margorie and Vivian; two grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 3, 2012, Provincial House Chapel, Mary's Woods, 17400 Holy Names Drive, Lake Oswego, OR 97034. There will be a private burial. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to: The Marylhurst Fund, the Office of University Advancement, 17600 Pacific Hwy, PO Box 261, Marylhurst, OR 97036.
