Obituary
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial in St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church in Lafayette for Cullen John Guilbeaux, 3, who passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2013.

Interment will be in St. Peter's Cemetery in Carencro.

Reverend Gary Schexnayder, Pastor of St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church in Lafayette, Louisiana will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Lectors will be Connie Roy and Christi Babin. Giftbearers will be Cullen's Godparents, Elizabeth Savoie Sonnier and Jeremy Benoit. Eulogist will be Brandon Miller. Valerie Andrus, organist and soloist, will sing for the services.

Survivors include his beloved parents, Waylon and Emily Savoie Guilbeaux; two brothers, Tucker (Kucker) and Mason (Mae Mae) Guilbeaux; paternal grandparents, Danny Guilbeaux, Sr. and his MiMi, Martha Coston; and maternal grandparents his Pa-Pa and Ma-Ma, Keith and Jackie Hernandez Savoie; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by maternal great grandparents, John and Bee Guidry Hernandez and Viel and Evia Mallet Savoie; and paternal great grandparents, Wesley and Rita Leger Guilbeaux, and Esker and Tandie Lolita Cassel Coston.

Cullen was a very active, mischievous, and extremely inquisitive boy for his age. Though only three years old, he had no problem speaking his mind. Cullen loved his 4-wheeler, macaroni and cheese, rice and gravy, toy soldiers, Juicy, playing swords, power rangers, doing puzzles, and telling horses "Hi" on Desoto Road. He loved to watch "Lassie" in black and white as well as Duck Dynasty and Toy Story; Woody was his favorite character of all. He had the honor of meeting him and all his favorite Disney characters on the family's recent trip to Disney World, something his parents are extremely grateful they got to accomplish for him. Cullen also loved wearing his cowboy boots, his fast soccer shoes and anything camouflage. He loved wearing chapstick, eating brownies for breakfast (or anytime), going fishing, he loved his cousin Elli, his brothers, and playing or helping his dad work outside. First and foremost, his favorite love was riding their four wheeler.

Cullen made known his dislikes as well. He did not like time out or being left behind. He hated taking naps and sleeping in his own bed. Cullen did not like green beans or mashed potatoes but he loved French fries. Cullen was so full of life because he had a lot of living to get done in three and a half years. As his Pa-Pa said, "I hope Heaven has a lot of patience to answer all of his questions".

Pallbearers will be his uncles, Jeremy Savoie, Jacob Savoie, Jonathan Savoie, and Danny Guilbeaux.
Honorary Pallbearers will be his brothers, Tucker and Mason Guilbeaux.
